GLASSEX GOES INTERACTIVE
With The Glassex Forum playing such an integral theme of 2009’s format, the exhibition is launching an interactive online version to tackle the driving issues that are affecting the fenestration industry, giving the industry the chance to speak out about the problems it is facing in day-to-day business.
Key topics of the moment will be offered for comment in The Glassex Forum Online portal, which will appear on the Glassex website and key online media. Clicking on the portal will take the reader to the Forum where they may offer their comment on the topic of the moment. This will be open for review and the opinions will be there for all to see and share. Through The Glassex Forum Online – which will precede the ‘open theatre’ style discussion and presentation area at Glassex next March – it is hoped that the industry will find a common voice, share views and deal with them collectively as an industry.
“Our industry is governed and driven by strong minded and passionate people that all have an opinion on the issues affecting us. We want to provide a pan-industry, non-media specific platform for discussion to allow these opinions to be voiced,” comments Dave Broxton, Event Director for Glassex. “This will allow the industry to really get their teeth into those important topics of debate, whether good or bad, which will undoubtedly turn up some interesting thoughts and get to the heart of the matter in an instant.”
Users of The Glassex Forum Online will have the choice of putting their messages across as themselves or in totally anonymity, which allows all players within the fenestration industry to voice their opinions from directors to shop-floor workers.
The site is due to go live in mid October.
