SUPERIOR STANDARDS AT AWJ RECOGNISED WITH G08 FINALIST NOMINATION
Having received notification to be a finalist at this year’s G08 awards, the AWJ Glass team considers this high praise and also a recognition of the exemplary standards relating to both products and services.
Whilst the competition maybe fierce within the Glass Company of the Year category, the AWJ Glass team is not daunted by what could be considered a ‘David and Goliath’ scenario, as they consider the merits of the products and support services will well match standards and more in respect of the other finalists, despite the size difference in companies.
The product range is diverse and using the superior standards of high tech equipment and products with exceptional performance qualities such as Edgetech IG’s SuperSpacer Tri-Seal and Saint Gobain glass. The combination of Planitherm total glass with argon, plus diamant and Super Spacer Tri-Seal out performs other products and achieves an A rated product with most UPVC systems, high performance timber and aluminium, which is offered as standard by AWJ Glass.
The company has seen considerable growth over the last few years and is firmly established in the North East as a progressive, customer-oriented business. It is hoped that this will be reflected clearly when the judges view the on-site facilities prior to the prestigious awards.
With one of the most modern glass processing facilities in the country, the team at AWJ Glass manufactures over 7,500 Kitemarked units per week from a 42,500 sq ft production site that is equipped with some of the most advanced machinery available.
The company produces high quality double glazed units and toughened safety glass products to both the domestic and commercial sectors. Furthermore, the company produces processed glass and painted panels as an alternative to Spandrel panels for the curtain-walling projects. These come with a 10 year warranty and have a 10 day lead time.
Manufacturing from the purpose built factory on the outskirts of Scarborough, North Yorkshire, the company is well recognised for providing some of the most advanced products on the market.
Presitgious glass projects through 2008 include providing all the glass for the Eurovision Song Contest stage, all mirrored work for a hotel chain in Japan, 10000 metres plus of solar control high performance glass for several new schools in the north of England as well as supplying all the new, aesthetically striking glass sinks for the Radisson Hotel group.
Clearly, AWJ Glass stands as a respected industry manufacturer of high quality, high performance glass and glazing components which is reflected by the G08 Finalist Nomination.
The company has taken market changes to hand, by restructuring according to current and potential future industry and client requirements to ensure premium services and products are provided as standard.
James Lister, Sales Director comments, “Clearly the high standards of our products have been recognised and are reflected through this nomination. The entire team is driven and offers the skills, knowledge, ability and commitment that our clients and marketplace need to keep moving forward in times of change. Our aim is to provide the best products available, that are manufactured to the highest quality standards and delivered with service, each time - every time - and on time.”
He concludes, “We are all looking forward to the G08 awards with interest and thank the selection panel for this prestigious nomination.”
