GLASSEX GETS DISTINCTION
For the third time running, Distinction Doors is exhibiting at Glassex with the expectation that 2009 will bring equal rewards as the previous attendances. Distinction stocks and sells a wide range of ready-made, fibreglass faced composite door blanks and glazing cassettes, a product range that has increased in popularity as the industry recognises the benefits of strength, aesthetic appearance and long lasting durability…and in marketing terms, Glassex plays a vital role in promoting the product range.
“What we have seen increasing over the past two years at Glassex is the quality of visitor,” comments Chris Champion of the company. “As the only composite door manufacturer exhibiting in 2007, we attracted a great deal of interest with over 120 leads a day. The next year, we attracted much bigger companies to the stand and we made some excellent contacts that we followed up with sales. The response from the show was an excellent indication of how the composite door market is maturing and Glassex proved the ideal medium to extol the benefits.”
Glassex 2009 offers Distinction Doors the opportunity to exhibit its entire range of products and also to explain how they have benefited from the latest technology. “We have invested in a CNC machine and we see Glassex 2009 as a forum to demonstrate how smaller fabricators can benefit from installing CNC machinery into their own factories,” continues Chris. “That is the beauty of the Glassex show – rather than just being a showcase for the latest products, it allows us to promote the services and the opportunities for the industry.”
Distinction Doors Ltd is an independent company that was established to distribute products in the UK for the Nan Ya Plastics Corporation of Taiwan. Formerly based in Mexborough, South Yorkshire, Distinction Doors moved to Tankersley, Barnsley at the end of 2007 to new warehousing and offices extending to over 40,000 sq feet.
Distinction Doors’ presence at Glassex 2009 offers visitors a valuable insight into the composite door market and what it can offer to the fenestration industry and key specifiers in both the public and private sectors.
“Having Distinction Doors back on the floor plan for 2009 is a great gauge for us, showing us that the exhibition really works in today’s current market,” comments Dave Broxton, Glassex Event Director. “Moving into their third year demonstrates the strength the show is attaining and how it is evolving to attract new businesses. We are extremely confident that their success will be repeated for 2009, further boosting their reputation and business dealings with the industry.”
Glassex 2009 will be held on 17-19 March at the NEC, Birmingham and is the only exhibition dedicated to the UK glass and glazing markets. Featuring the best in doors, windows, conservatories, manufacturing technology, insulated glass, installation equipment and a host of other related products and services, it has served the UK glass and fenestration sector for nearly 30 years. Through economic boom and recession, Glassex has introduced visitors to exhibitors with new products and services, new suppliers and new areas of opportunity, helping to define and increase the market. As the industry has evolved, so has the exhibition and in addition to the existing successful features, seminars and competitions, 2009 will see a host of new features and initiatives to meet the needs of the market.
