OCTOBER 2008 Issue 1
Credit Crunch – Let’s Party!
With the Banks collapsing all around us, there is a desperate need for the
government to urgently protect the country from a public run on the banks.
I also heard today that Speedframe has gone into liquidation, proving that everyone’s vulnerable at the moment!
There is dire need for the government to step in and help SME’s in these troubled times. After all, SME’s combined employ the highest proportion of the UK workforce and if help doesn’t come soon, then meltdown will definitely ensue!
On a lighter note; last Friday I saw some very proud winners in this industry celebrating their success at the G08 Awards. The event was held at the Metropole Hotel in Birmingham. I can’t speak for everyone who attended, but they all looked like they were having a fantastic time. The window industry certainly knows how to party, even in the face of all this adversity!
