Deceuninck UK increases extrusion capacity in Calne, Wiltshire
Deceuninck UK, part of the world wide PVC-U window systems and building profiles designer announced this week that it will be increasing extrusion capacity at its headquarters in Calne in Wiltshire.
Alain Swyngedauw, managing director of Deceuninck UK, commented, “We are delighted to take delivery of a new extrusion line this month.”
He added, “Deceuninck has a well-established reputation in the UK for producing high quality, beautifully designed and technologically advanced products. The additional extrusion line will allow us to continue to meet demand for these products and maintain our reputation for supporting our products with rapid delivery times and unparalleled customer service. It also demonstrates our ongoing commitment to investment in the UK market.”
The new line enables Deceuninck to meet increasing demand as a result of considerable growth in the Building Products division. The division, which includes products such as Deeplas, Belface and Twinson, achieved double figure growth in the last quarter, principally driven by activity in the renovations sector.
Indeed despite being on the brink of a widely predicted recession, the Deceuninck Group’s overall third quarter sales demonstrate a stability not enjoyed by many in the current climate. European sales rose in the third quarter by nearly 3% in comparison with the same period last year. And in spite of difficult market conditions, volumes in the UK also remained steady and notable successes, apart from the Building Products division, including window systems products utilising Deuctone process colouring.
