QUALITY ROOF GLASS FOR QUALITY HOTEL
The Quality Hotel in St. Albans has recently had a new roof installed with Reflex glass that has transformed the main function room in a number of ways.
Hotel general manager Jon Kett-Reynolds was delighted with the transformation the new roof made. He told us “The Conservatory Centre fitted the roof for us and it featured a special glass called Reflex. The job went so smoothly I genuinely didn’t know the installers were here. The way the room is now lit up by natural light is quite stunning. The special glass dome prevents the function room from over-heating in blazing sunshine and it looks great too. We were advised to take the blue glass option and we are glad we did. From the inside you’d think the glass was clear but from the outside, you notice the subtle blue colour. The result is fantastic.”
The glass used was the unique UK manufactured Reflex+ and the glazed units come with a twenty-year guarantee. A special coating within the glass unit blocks out most of the sun’s UV rays which are responsible for fading fabrics, and also reflects away 92% of the infra-red heat that makes rooms unbearably hot unless air-conditioned. The glass also retains radiated heat in winter so heating costs are reduced and the outer pane has an easy clean surface which is guaranteed for ten years. What’s more, the special warm-edge spacer bars and argon filled units make a 20% improved contribution to noise reduction.
