National Plastics celebrates 20 years in business
The nationwide building plastics specialist, National Plastics, has just celebrated 20 years in business with a series of open evenings. The evenings, held at National Plastics’ stores across the country, were to thank loyal customers for all their support over the years.
The fact that National Plastics held celebrations at more than one site is an indication of how far it has come in its 20 year history. The company started life as a distribution service, offering a range of products to customers in the south Wales area. 20 years later, it is a chain of 24 stores, including two new regional distribution depots in Corby and Exeter, which opened earlier this year. These depots feature Eco Centres too, proving that National Plastics has its finger on the pulse when it comes to customers’ needs.
It is this attention to its customers’ needs that National Plastics Divisional Director, Geoff Foster, believes the company owes its success. “We’ve grown steadily with the market over the past 20 years because we’ve always made a point of listening to our customers and offering them exactly what they need. And even though we’re a national company now, every one of our stores has the qualities of a local community company, just as our original business did.”
Offering customers what they need is exactly what National Plastics does – its stores, including the online one, are perfect examples of the one-stop shop. National Plastics stores stock a breathtaking range of products from soffits, fascias and cladding to over-door canopies, plumbing systems and loft hatches, all backed up with all the accessories needed to install them. They also stock windows, doors and conservatories, and one of the company’s latest innovations, modular conservatories. Stores have been stocking National Roofing products for the past year too, including the innovative EDPM rubber roofing for installers moving into flat roof replacement.
As the opening of the regional distribution depots with their Eco Centres show, National Plastics have no intention of slowing down. In fact, they mean the company has the foundations in place to continue its steady and sustainable growth. Happy birthday – and here’s to the next 20 years!
