Installation insurance guarantees confidence from hard-pressed consumers

As the ‘credit crunch’ continues to bite – and consumer enthusiasm for ‘big ticket’ home improvement projects looks set to diminish – it is even more important that installation professionals set about differentiate themselves from their competition: not least through increasing confidence in their businesses through the provision of Insurance Backed Guarantees (IBGs).

This is the message from HomePro – the UK’s leading provider of IBGs – and specialist in providing insurance and services to the trade and construction industries; offering products that are not only highly competitive but are also associated with levels of service and cover that are unrivalled in the sector.

Offering home owners Insurance Backed Guarantees (IBGs) as part of a package of works is a superb means of enhancing their confidence in a business – and a powerful marketing tool when it comes to increasing quote acceptances.

The IBGs are cost-effectively priced and highly competitive compared to those sourced from other providers or trade associations – and is available to all professional installation businesses, whether trade association members or not.

TrustMark

All HomePro IBGs exceed, and are compliant with; the Government’s TrustMark standards and all policies are underwritten and managed under the auspices of the Financial Services Authority (FSA). Combined with TrustMark accreditation – available through both HomePro and its sister organisation FairTrades – IBGs serve to reassure wary consumers of the bona fides of their chosen suppliers; and enable independents to better compete with big high street brands.

With many years experience in the sector, all HomePro insurance products are underwritten ‘on shore’: IBGs by Red Sands Insurance Company (Europe) Ltd; while other policies – such as Public Liability – are underwritten by a range of underwriters accessed by its partner Moorhouse.

HomePro Insurance is also listed by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) in its advice to homeowners, published in the Having Work Done on Your Home: Organisations That Can Help booklet.
