TEAM TALK, TRAIN AND GAIN
Sarnafil Roof Assured recently held Team Talk, a national conference for installers at the Barceló Hinkley Island Hotel, with several guest speakers, a live demonstration from a new training vehicle and also the presentation of several awards.
With a number of new customers coming on board due to the sales opportunities that exist for flat roofing, it was the perfect platform in which to launch a number of new initiatives and to also use the day for networking. Two new installer websites were introduced allowing for a very cost-effective online presence, Yell.com spoke about online leads and other marketing hints and tips were also offered. There were also representatives from the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) and the National Home Improvement Council (NHIC), both of whom made speeches.
Following the presentations in the morning, the attendees were introduced to Sarnafil’s TSV, a fully equipped support van including plasma TV that is perfect for regional shows and events, but can also be used for trade demonstrations. Finally the day was concluded with the announcement of several awards across a wide range of Sarnafil Roof Assured installations that included roof lanterns, garages, porches, dormers, extensions, balconies etc. The overall winner was Kevin Hodge from County Flat Roofing showing his impressive barrelled roof, having been voted for by his peers on the day.

A number of glazing companies attended the day and benefitted from some practical guidance, new online developments and the launch of the TSV. We’re already looking towards a fantastic 2009!”
