What a Difference a Door Stop Week makes!

Door-Stop, the composite door supplier taking the panel market by storm, has spent the last week launching a suite of marketing tools to help its 900 customers sell even more doors. Every day each customer opened their post to receive samples of what’s now available and opened their inbox to get email updates of how they can use the tools to show the Door Stop difference to home owners.

Nick Dutton, Door Stop’s Director comments: “The market is moving and it’s moving fast, so we wanted to launch the suite of marketing and sales support tools in an equally dynamic way. From traditional printed direct sales items, to state of the art online support, Door Stop customers now have everything they need to persuade homeowners to opt for next generation composite doors instead of standard panels.

“The first resource to hit the market was www.door-stop-difference.co.uk. Designed to show homeowners the dramatic differences between Door Stop doors and PVC panel doors, the site is entirely geared to show product benefits for installers to use in their own advertising or in the living room. With no contact details for Door Stop, this consumer focused site is free for companies to use whenever and wherever, and personalised options will be available soon.

“Day 2 saw the launch of the What’s the Difference booklet. Built on powerful photography the booklet dovetails neatly with the consumer website to show simply and effectively why Door Stop doors are better. It includes a tick chart of features and benefits on the back cover which acts as a great summary and makes it hard for the home owner to say no!

“For more direct selling support, and lead generation, we’ve developed drop cards that are personalised for each individual installer including company name and phone number. From the beginning of September, every single door that Door-Stop deliver will be sent with 10 drop cards entirely free of charge! Home improvement companies know the power of referrals and recommendations and what better way to create this interest than by posting these great looking cards in the neighbouring properties to your installation.

“And to finish off the campaign in style, this week every customer received a complementary Feel the Difference sample box containing an off cut from the edge of a composite door, next to the edge of an off cut from a polystyrene panel door. The aim of the sample box, designed to suite with the rest of the Feel the Difference campaign, is to physically allow home owners to see and touch the difference in the quality of the doors.

“Sales and marketing support is only useful when it actually helps customers sell more products, and installers are already telling us that the Door Stop Difference suite does just this. In fact, we’ve already experienced a significant uplift in orders and believe that the Door Stop difference in terms of product, service and support will continue to contribute to even more home improvement companies moving away from panel doors entirely.”
