EVERGLADE’S STB INVESTMENT
Everglade Windows have just invested in the new generation STB machining and cutting centre from Promac as part of a significant investment programme.
This new machining and cutting centre was part of a £200,000 investment helping to take the Manchester-based fabricator from 120 frames per week plus 50 bought in, to a capacity of 400 frames per week. This latest version from STB features ‘V’ notching both sides, parallel routing and espag drilling in just one cycle.
For fabricators with limited space, this machine requires a footprint of just 15x3m and is perfectly suited for optimum production capacities due to its linear operation. Jason Sadler from Everglade comments: “We had the opportunity to look at a number of machining and cutting centres at Glassex and this looked the best bet by some way and coupled with the support from Promac it was an easy decision to make. We are absolutely delighted.”
Alex Main, director at Promac concludes: “We have a number of machining and cutting centres for the small and mid-sized fabricator ranging from 100 frames per week to over 800, but this one from STB is generating considerable interest thanks to its cost and compact size. We’ve also gained an order for one from Carlisle Windows and a further 3 are also on their way. So get yours while stocks last!”
