FENSAs 9000 plus vetted installers continue to increase despite downturn in economy
FENSA announces that it has over 9000 plus registered businesses, which together make up over 90% of installations undertaken in England and Wales.
Set up in April 2002 by industry bodies and with Government encouragement as a Competent Persons Scheme for the installation of replacement windows and doors, the number of companies registering with FENSA is increasing, despite the slower growth in the economy.
Companies registered with FENSA vary from the smaller family based companies, through to all the large national companies who benefit from FENSAs friendly team of experienced staff, independent but local inspectors, and the knowledge and technical expertise provided by the key industry bodies who comprise the FENSA Board. Many councils, affordable housing social landlords, housing associations and large private property owners recognise the value of registering with FENSA, the brand name that is trusted and demanded by consumers and local authorities. While some companies specialise in glass and glazing, others undertake glazing work adjacent to their building related and home improvement projects.
