ANCHO SAVES TIME AND RESOURCE WITH SIDEY AND LHC
System 10 windows from public sector specialist WHS Halo have been installed in 28 properties in Ayrshire, as part of ANCHO Housing Association’s works to meet the Scottish Housing Quality Standard (SHQS).
Fully reversible white windows and GRP composite doors were installed by Perth-based fabricator Sidey Limited for ANCHO, which currently owns and manages over 700 properties in Ayrshire.
The housing association is the first in Scotland to procure replacement windows through the LHC Network’s pre-tendered, OJEU compliant framework arrangement for PVC-U windows and doors, which offers a ‘fast track’ route for social housing providers seeking to implement major window refurbishment projects.
David Brownlie, Commercial Sales Manager at Sidey, said: “This was our first contract through the LHC Network, which bases its key criteria on the level of satisfaction of building owners and occupiers.
“Customer satisfaction is extremely important to Sidey and we are delighted that through our experience, products and services, we can helps RSLs and local authorities to reach the SHQS.”
Scott Hutchinson, Property Services Manager at ANCHO, adds: “Our tenants have welcomed these recent improvements and they are extremely pleased with the quality of the products, service and response that Sidey has provided.”
The LHC Network is the UK’s largest public sector procurement organisation, specialising in building products. LHC reviews a wide range of building products and then conducts OJEU compliant tendering processes, as well as in-depth technical analysis, to create pre-tendered framework agreements, which any public sector body can then use free of charge by joining the LHC Network.
Andrew Keir of WHS Halo concludes: “Through the LHC Network, Sidey were able to offer ANCHO valuable time and resource savings, as the procurement process is made so much simpler. The benefits are even greater for local authorities and housing associations that are striving to meet housing quality standards across the UK. We would encourage other social housing professionals to look at the savings that can be achieved, by procuring System 10 windows through the LHC Network.”
Sidey Limited is one of five System 10 fabricators and installers located across the UK to be approved for the LHC’s framework arrangement.
WHS Halo offers a market leading range of System 10 windows, doors and curtain walling for social housing and educational building projects.
